SuicideGirls is an online community of over 3500 tattooed pin-up girls who are redefining beauty standards through the power of art and contemporary culture. Our members are a diverse and unique mix of female artists, photographers, musicians, activists and entrepreneurs. All of our models have unique tattoos and an individual style that celebrates each person’s soulful beauty. We create a space where self-expression and individual empowerment is celebrated while breaking down traditional definitions of beauty, age and gender roles.
From LA to London, SuicideGirls are active in various creative fields, taking part in events ranging from burlesque performances to film festivals, gaming conventions to comic book signings. Through our social media presence, we also encourage our members to pursue their passions – whether that’s photography or filmmaking – by connecting them with up-and-coming artists in their communities. All this comes together at the annual SG Con – a weekend convention complete with meetups and seminars featuring celebrity panels and workshops hosted by the models themselves.
At our core, SuicideGirls is more than just an online community; we’re a movement of women reclaiming autonomy over their bodies and creating a safe space for people all genders to explore themselves without judgement or prejudice. As we keep growing our membership base – spreading positivity one tattoo at a time – SG stays true to its mission: celebrating alternative beauty, building friendships among like-minded individuals who aspire for change and empowering members to be confident in expressing themselves no matter what the cost may be.
